GCC25-2

Hayden (Gen3 - Tasmania) arrived safely and riding is underway, in earnest and the kilometres are building up.

Today, the Sunshine Coast GCC Raffle was drawn in Gympie - inside the Ironman 4x4 store (a little warm and bright outdoors).

The luck winners Hamish, Arthur and Shaun have been contacted and informed of their good fortune.

Hundreds of people took a chance and supported this great cause - thank you to everyone that brought tickets.

My personal thanks to those people who helped with ticket sales (Debbie, Lila and Christian) without whose support the tickets sales would have suffered.

Thanks to Team Gen3 (and their support crews) for your efforts in making the raffle an outstanding success.

It's on!

First ride done!

I opted for an early morning (dark) ride - well I did after I was awoken @ 2:30am by our 10mnth old Rottweiller puppy (Luna) barking (very loudly) at something. Literally, jumped out of bed WIDE awake and heart going like a racehorse. Lol!

After checking (finding nothing), Luna promptly jumped up on the bed and went back to sleep - that wasn't an option for me.

So starting the GCC25 seemed a perfectly logical thing to do - so away I went.

Nice and cool, dark and quiet - very pleasant just listening to the bike and avoiding the "odd" road user (some of which need to dim their headlights - felt a bit like a "possum with spots in my eyes").

Awaiting the arrival of Team Gen3's interstate member (Hayden - Hobart), who will arrive tomorrow and then we can start racking up some kilometres.
