My Story

This October, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

24 years ago I beat the big C (and again, a different type of cancer last year) I'm so thankful to be here still. During my last chemo I met a young happy and cheerful child, even though she was doing chemo. It was heartbreaking to see a little kid going through it. It was a struggle for me at 25. No kids should have to go through chemo and if we can prevent that, well that would be amazing.

Cancer is the largest single killer of children from disease in Australia – over 600 children are diagnosed with cancer every year and sadly, 3 die every week.

And so I am riding and raising funds to support the Children's Medical Research Institute to continue their work into the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and finding a cure for childhood cancer.
